Interpreter Care Check-In

Interpreting is complex, high-impact work. At times, it can feel mentally demanding, emotionally heavy, or difficult to navigate within the systems we work in.

This check-in is a starting point. It is designed to help you pause, take stock of your current experience, and identify where support and growth might be most useful. If you have additional time and are looking for a deeper exploration of burnout, compassion fatigue, or long-term resilience, the Interpreter Wellness Assessment is a great next step.

Please note: This check-in is a self-reflection tool designed to increase awareness of your experiences and identify areas for support and growth. It is not a clinical assessment, diagnostic tool, or a substitute for professional mental health services.

Before you begin:

  • Reflect on your interpreting experiences over the past 1 to 2 weeks
  • Answer honestly. This is for your awareness, not evaluation.
  • If you are feeling overwhelmed right now, begin with the Quick Check
